Day 79 - 250s?
Holy shit... I thought I'd never get out of the 260s. And I'm not safe yet, it's just one day, but damn it feels good to be away from the 260-264 area.
Today's meals:
Breakfast: Pistachios
Lunch: Pastrami Reuben sandwich, Dt Dew, a couple bites of mac and cheese.
Snack: Zinger, Dt Dew, some puppy chow
Dinner: Two slices of Casey's taco pizza and a slice of pepperoni.

DAMNIT! I know I'm going to be over 260 again tomorrow morning. I have totally put the "DBAFF" way outta my mind. I am conscious of the fact that I want to get in 10k steps every day, but I'm slipping on making healthy choices for meals and snacks. Fuck! I get in this stage and I straight up hate myself for the lack of willpower. It's not hard. Just say no. Or say thanks for the zinger and put it in the drawer. Or thanks for the lunch invite, but I brought mine. It's seriously depressing. Ok.. now that that's out of the way. Tomorrow is going to be better. I'm going to strive to make good choices all day and not only will that help me lose the pounds but it will get my mind right. Phew.. ok. Don't be a fat fuck. Don't be a fat fuck. Don't be a fat fuck.
Seventy-nine days down.
Day 78 - Deep Clean
Still playing catch up on my posts. I've got even less for this one. But, I have a picture and my steps walked.
Exercise:
Pushup Challenge - None
10k Steps - >7K
Squats - None
Vitamins & Supplements: Multi Vitamin, Super- B Complex, Vitamin C, Probiotic
More information here: http://www.dbaff.net/2017/11/vitamins-and-supplements.html
I'm struggling to get my 10k in this week. I have been making laps in my work building and this does include some stairs, but I have been doing several quick walks instead of some quick and a long one at lunch. So, I've been getting some quality walking in with steps included, but it's not high numbers of steps.
Also, tonight I did some deep cleaning of the house. So, was on the hands and knees scrubbing stuff, sweeping, vacuuming, etc and I didn't have my phone on me for that. I actually felt exhausted when I went to bed so I feel good about the activity level - even though I missed the 10K.
Seventy-eight days down.
Day 77 - Limbo
I'm playing catch-up today (12/22) and realized that I don't have several things filled in for the days I haven't posted. I'm trying to remember, but will probably leave some stuff blank. I suck...
Today's meals:
Breakfast: Probably a dew and pistachios
Lunch: Unknown
Snack: Dt Dew, a zinger(hard to turn down)
Dinner: Unknown
Exercise:
Pushup Challenge - None
10k Steps - >7K
Squats - None
Vitamins & Supplements: Multi Vitamin, Super- B Complex, Vitamin C, Probiotic
More information here: http://www.dbaff.net/2017/11/vitamins-and-supplements.html
Water intake: around 5 glasses
Seventy-Seen days down.
Day 76 - No Control
The scale is reflecting my current struggle. You saw it in my catch up post the other day. I CANT SEEM TO STOP EATING SHITTY FOOD! It's not always shitty (the gummy worms, yes), the asiago bread is fantastic. Toasted with a bit of butter melted into it and I'm in heaven. But I'm sure it's horribly high in calories and contains tasty carbs.
Today's meals:
Breakfast: Oatmeal with honey, Dt Mt Dew
Lunch: Salad with veggies and turkey
Snack: 2 slices of asiago cheese bread, Dt Mt Dew
Dinner: Baked breaded chicken patty, a few pizza rolls, cooked spinach
Exercise:
Pushup Challenge - None
10k Steps - 10K
Squats - 40
Vitamins & Supplements: Multi Vitamin, Super- B Complex, Vitamin C, Probiotic
More information here: http://www.dbaff.net/2017/11/vitamins-and-supplements.html
Water intake: Not enough
Continued the trend of not eating real food for dinner. We're trying to empty out the freezer of stuff that's due to be used and some of it's not so healthy. But, I could choose to eat the good stuff, I just don't. Here's to a better day tomorrow.
Seventy-six days down.

Day 75 - The Return
Ok, back to the normal routine after slacking for some time. I've posted the new goal. I don't think it's going to be easy at all. I've started to slip back into some old habits and had too many "I'll just make this a cheat day/meal/moment". As I stated before, it's only going to get tougher for the rest of this month and beyond.
Today's meals:
Breakfast: 2 slices of asiago cheese bread, Diet Mt Dew
Lunch: Jimmy John's #5 Vito with a Diet Coke
Snack: Ice cream cone, a few gummy worms
Dinner: Turkey breast, salad with veggies
Exercise:
Pushup Challenge - None
10k Steps - 10K
Squats - None
Vitamins & Supplements: Multi Vitamin, Super- B Complex, Vitamin C, Probiotic
More information here: http://www.dbaff.net/2017/11/vitamins-and-supplements.html
Water intake: Not enough.. probably 5 glasses
As you can see, I've been straying from the salad and omelet meals. A large part of why I am staying in the 262-265 range. I need to get back on track with the eating. I'm feeling weak with all of the holiday candy, meals, etc and then it's making make other choices that are bad - see ice cream cone and gummy worms above. No bueno.
Seventy-five days down.

Day 69 through Day 75
I've been slacking a lot on the blog. I have however, still weighed myself daily and have at least been trying to stay the course. Here's the picture proof that I've weighed myself:
Day 69
Day 70
Day 71
Day 72
Day 73
Day 74
Day 75
So, there hasn't been much progress over the last several days. You can also see the days that I did good and the days that I had a holiday party/meal. Obviously, it's tough to stay away from good food this time of year. Everyone brings snacks to the office and there are 50 different groups having a holiday celebration.
I have even been slacking a bit on my walking. Here's my recordings from my phone. They are probably all a bit lower than the actual amount I walked, but have to be pretty close.
Walking:
Day 69 - 4.9K
Day 70 - 4.3K
Day 71 - 11.2K
Day 72 - 9.3K
Day 73 - 10.5K
Day 74 - 8.5K
Day 75 - 2K (ouch)
The meals and temptations are only going to get worse so I need to stay vigilant at being active. I don't even have a guess on the air squats as I've done those randomly. And the push ups have been nonexistent as my shoulder still hurts. I've been trying to stretch it daily, but it's not seeming to fix it.
Honestly, I've been slacking. Obviously I haven't been recording my progress so that's not helping remind me and keep me accountable. The holidays aren't going away so I need to figure out how to work around them and do better about keeping up with everything. I haven't even set my new short term goal. I've gotta have a goal to work towards. I'll try to get that out soon.

Day 68 - Image Not Found
I forgot to get a picture - my phone was dead. But, I did weigh myself and I came in at 263.5. So, up a little after the last couple of days with questionable eating for dinner.
Today's meals:
Breakfast: 2 egg veggie omelet with a small sausage patty, White Label
Lunch: None
Snack: Dt Dew, homemade popcorn, some chex mix
Dinner: Small bowl of chili topped with cheddar cheese and some crackers.
Also had a Potosi Snake Hollow IPA.
Exercise:
Pushup Challenge - None
10k Steps - 7.5K
Squats - 40
Vitamins & Supplements: Multi Vitamin, Super- B Complex, Vitamin C, Probiotic
More information here: http://www.dbaff.net/2017/11/vitamins-and-supplements.html
Water intake: Not enough - 6 glasses
I didn't eat much for sweets today, but hit the chex mix and lots of homemade popcorn. Was going to try to eat some salad and other light stuff today, but we ended up having people over to watch football and the fantasy football stress made it easier for me to give in and eat shitty stuff.
I worked in the garage for the beginning of the day, did my squats, and took a long walk with the wife. So, even though I didn't register 10k it was a decently active day. As usual, we'll see what the scale says tomorrow.
Sixty-eight days down.

Day 67 - Down again
Happy day. Surprised I went down further, as I didn't really eat all that well yesterday, but I'll take it. Today should be a day around the house so in theory I can eat well today. That's the goal.
Today's meals:
Breakfast: 3 egg veggie omelet
Lunch: None - busy in the garage
Snack: 2 Dt Dews, a few Doritos
Dinner: 1 small chicken wing, 5 chicken nuggets, 4-5 pepperoni pizza rolls (Horrible will power)
Exercise:
Pushup Challenge - None
10k Steps -5K - didn't do much walking today... did work in the garage a lot, up and down a ladder though - didn't have my phone on me then.
Squats - None
Vitamins & Supplements: Multi Vitamin, Super- B Complex, Vitamin C, Probiotic
More information here: http://www.dbaff.net/2017/11/vitamins-and-supplements.html
Water intake: Not enough at all - 3-4 glasses
For the second day in a row, dinner left something to be desired. I probably was still under calories for the day, but it wasn't healthy foods. I really wanted to keep the 10k streak going too, but the day got away from me. For the most part I was up and moving around though. We went shopping and I spent a chunk of the day getting some hooks installed in the garage and storing the family bicycles. I've got a bit more work to do to get them all stored away, but it's been a lot of up and down ladders so far. Not a bad day overall, but I'm gonna try to have a better one tomorrow.
Sixty-seven days down.
Day 66 - Achievement Unlocked
Would you look at that!? Bout fucking time.
So glad to hit that first mini goal. I was a bit frustrated how long I yo-yo'd between 265 and 270. And the other plus is that I'm only 4 pounds from hitting the 250s. The last time I "tried" to lose some weight I got stuck at 264 forever. Granted, my diet wasn't great, but I was paying attention to my weight and couldn't seem to ever get it to budge from 264. It'll be different this time.
Today's meals:
Breakfast: Chobani Greek yogurt, some pistachios
Lunch: 2 hard boiled eggs and a asiago cheese roll from Palmer's Deli (a gift from a co-worker that I probably shoulda tossed after they left, but it was nice and I love asiago bread items)
Snack: Dt Dew, a couple sugar roasted pecans
Dinner: Salad, 2 fried chicken legs and a chicken wing, a small slice of pepperoni pizza, 2 Diet Cokes
Exercise:
Pushup Challenge - None
10k Steps - 10.3K registered
Squats - None
Vitamins & Supplements: Multi Vitamin, Super- B Complex, Vitamin C, Probiotic
More information here: http://www.dbaff.net/2017/11/vitamins-and-supplements.html
Water intake: 6-7 glasses
Feels really good to hit the first goal. I might have kinda messed it up a bit with the large dinner today, but the rest of the day was really light. Time to set new goals - I'll post them soon.
Sixty-six days down.

Day 65 - WTF, Man?
How fucking frustrating. I know that I didn't eat 100% great yesterday, but wth is up with it bumping up 1.5 pounds? This is why some people say not to weigh yourself every day. The ups and downs (sometimes just due to water weight) are incredibly frustrating. I don't know if I could be a daytrader.
Today's meals:
Breakfast: None
Lunch: Two hard boiled eggs
Snack: Small glass of Naked green juice, two Dt. Dews
Dinner: A couple of green beans
Exercise:
Pushup Challenge - No
10k Steps - Just under 10k registered on the phone, but I didn't have the phone with me all day, so I'm calling it 10k.
Squats - 40
Vitamins & Supplements: Multi Vitamin, Super- B Complex, Vitamin C, Probiotic
More information here: http://www.dbaff.net/2017/11/vitamins-and-supplements.html
Water intake: 9 glasses
So, I got frustrated this morning that I decided to go on a mini-sorta-fast today. I've heard of others doing it. I suppose the thought is that it confuses your body - much like the "cheat day". We'll see how it works. I didn't know how I'd do, but honestly it wasn't too hard to eat super light. I probably could have gone with just liquids, but I don't think the eggs were a bad call. We'll see what the scale says tomorrow. I'm REALLY hoping to hit that first goal (a week late).
Sixty-five days down.

Day 64 - Sleep
It's moving down, but still haven't reached my original goal. Kinda depressing, but I have to stay positive and stay the course. I'm making progress and I can feel that I'm building a little bit of muscle back. My freaking hips are sore from the walking... that's a bit embarrassing to say, but it's true. I was that out of shape.
Today's meals:
Breakfast: Dt Dew, a few candied pecans, and a couple of lime tortilla chips
Lunch: Salad - heavy on the veggies
Snack: Caramel corn, Dt Dew, some more candied pecans, a few bites of cookies and other xmas snacks that are laying around. I didn't have the willpower going today.
Dinner: A baked potato, some taco bean dip, and most of a can of cooked spinach
Exercise:
Pushup Challenge - None
10k Steps - Just under 10k
Squats - None
Vitamins & Supplements: Multi Vitamin, Super- B Complex, Vitamin C, Probiotic
More information here: http://www.dbaff.net/2017/11/vitamins-and-supplements.html
Water intake: 7ish glasses
Another decent day. I gave in and ate more shitty food than I should have. I feel that I didn't get too wild. I slacked a bit on the exercise as I fell asleep before I could knock the rest of it out. As always, we'll see what the scale says tomorrow.
Sixty-four days down.

Day 63 - Sore
The good day paid off with a little drop this morning. I'm definitely feeling sore today. My shoulder has been bothering me. I think I pulled a muscle or tweaked it. Not sure, but I'm thinking I just need to power through. It's a bit painful when trying to lift anything away from my body. Anyway... today's a holiday potluck at work. I'm going to try to keep the momentum going and make good choices - Don't be a fat fuck!
Today's meals:
Breakfast: None - got busy working and forgot. Prob good as it might be a bigger lunch.
Lunch: Pulled pork, taco layered dip, some chips, a meat stick, some roasted nuts, a couple odds and ends. No pie, no cake, no dessert! I resisted, so that's a small win.
Snack: Dt. Dew, White Label, a couple pieces of cheese and summer sausage
Dinner: Hot chocolate, a couple of cookies, and some caramel corn
Exercise:
Pushup Challenge - Off day
10k Steps - 11K
Squats - off day
Vitamins & Supplements: Didn't take my vitamins today...
More information here: http://www.dbaff.net/2017/11/vitamins-and-supplements.html
Water intake: ~6 glasses. Not as good as yesterday
I don't think I had a green vegetable today, maybe some lettuce in the taco dip stuff, but that's about it. Still feel like I didn't totally pig out and I got over 10k steps today so I feel good.
Sixty-three days down.
Day 62 - Sky's the limit
Nooooooo! Damnit. Ugh. Shit... well, I'm off work today so today's as good as any to get back on the wagon. Fuck. This is tough having all the temptation in the house. I graze and it's kicking my ass.
Today's meals:
Breakfast: 2 egg veggie omelet
Lunch: Salad - lots of veggies
Snack: Homemade popcorn, Diet Mt Dew
Dinner: Turkey Meatloaf, baked potato, and some corn
Exercise:
Pushup Challenge - 36
10k Steps - >14K registered. I took a long walk in the middle of the day - it was almost 70 out.
Squats - 45
Vitamins & Supplements: Multi Vitamin, Super- B Complex, Vitamin C, Probiotic
More information here: http://www.dbaff.net/2017/11/vitamins-and-supplements.html
Water intake: 9ish glasses - did good today, one pop.
Overall, one of the best days I've had in a while. I ate pretty well and got a lot of exercise in. I was to catching up on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast and C.T. Fletcher was the latest guest. I saw some of his YouTube stuff a long while back and have watched his documentary on Netflix, My Magnificent Obsession. He's a interesting guy and you can't help but want to achieve more after listening to him for a few seconds. I used to listen to some of his motivational bits on YouTube to help get me through the work day. Dude grew up in a tough place, had a hardass for a dad, has had heart surgery, heart attack(s?), and still manages to be an upbeat guy with a positive outlook. Overall seems to be a good human. I'm a fan and was motivated to make it a good day.
Sixty-two days down.

Day 61 - Going up?
Welp.. that's almost exactly what I expected. Instant results from eating like a pig and not doing anything active through out the day. Another step away from my goal.
We're going to cut down our Christmas tree today so I'm hoping that I can get some walking in there. Would like to get to my 10k today. I've made excuses for not going out for a walk these last few days. It's been too freaking nice around here for me to be as shut in as I have.
Today's meals:
Breakfast: 3 egg veggie omelet, White Label
Lunch: Leftover slice of pizza
Snack: Rice crispy treat, Dt Mt Dew, the xmas treats we bought yesterday, etc.
Dinner: Leftover pizza again (just realized I don't think I had any veggies except for breakfast)
Exercise:
Pushup Challenge - None
10k Steps - 5K
Squats - None
Vitamins & Supplements: Multi Vitamin, Super- B Complex, Vitamin C, Probiotic
More information here: http://www.dbaff.net/2017/11/vitamins-and-supplements.html
Water intake: 5 glasses
Today was a bust. I'm a bit bummed that I'm trending up. I'm bummed that I keep on making excuses and not working out. Bummed that I ate pizza twice instead of having a salad. Woe is me.
Sixty-one days down.
Day 60 - Zero Change
Today's meals:
Breakfast: 3 egg veggie omelet
Lunch: Went grocery shopping and it was sample day. Yeah... helped myself to all of them. Plus we threw a pizza in for the kids when we got home and I had a slice of that.
Snack: Xmas treats - cookies, chocolate, homemade toffee, etc. Way too much.
Dinner: Smoked meats (pork, chicken), side of cornbread, potato casserole, etc
Exercise:
Pushup Challenge - Nope
10k Steps - 6K registered
Squats - 40 squats
Vitamins & Supplements: Multi Vitamin, Super- B Complex, Vitamin C, Probiotic
More information here: http://www.dbaff.net/2017/11/vitamins-and-supplements.html
Water intake: 9-10 glasses
I intended to splurge tonight, but I ended up with bunches of mini splurges throughout the day. The samples - not all were cheese or other semi healthy foods. We also went to a craft fair put on by the school trying to raise funds for kids that are going on a school trip to D.C. They were selling tons of holiday snacks - cookies, chocolates, etc. We wanted to support the kids - that's why we were there - so we ended up buying a bunch of snacks. I usually have decent enough will power to resist, but not much will power happening today. Then we had our holiday party this evening. The main course was decently healthy - smoked meats - but the desserts, sides, and beer most definitely weren't. And again, I had little willpower. I'm 100% sure that I will not hit my first goal tomorrow.
On the positive, I do think that I got a lot of water in today. Guess that's something.
Sixty days down.
Day 59 - Goal Day
So close. Sooooo close. It's bitter sweet. I'm a bit upset I didn't push myself harder or tell my self not to be a fat fuck more often. On the other hand, I'm almost 20 pounds down. That's not something that should be discounted. I still haven't hit 265 though, so I can't stop now. I know tomorrow is going to be tough as the wife and I have a holiday party to attend tomorrow.
Fuck... so close. I need to stay on track. Ugh.
Today's meals:
Breakfast: Pistachios and Dt Mt Dew
Lunch: Salad - veggies
Snack: Cashews, White label
Dinner: Went out to eat with the wife. I was tired of salad so I ordered a grilled tenderloin and a side of coleslaw. I did have 2 Lagunitas IPAs and a few fries stolen from the wife. I was full. Probably wasn't the best choice, but I was burned out on salad - which was the only true healthy option on the menu.
Exercise:
Pushup Challenge - None - shoulda done them today. Made excuses and didn't do it.
10k Steps - 8.5K steps - close but not enough.
Squats - None
Vitamins & Supplements: Multi Vitamin, Super- B Complex, Vitamin C, Probiotic
More information here: http://www.dbaff.net/2017/11/vitamins-and-supplements.html
Water intake: 5-6 glasses - too low.
So, a day of ups and downs. I was excited that I was close to the goal, but depressed that I didn't hit it. Also a little depressed that I didn't stay the course and have a salad at dinner - skipping the beer. But then I think, "I can't be perfect all the time, I'll burn out!". Honestly, I use that excuse too fucking often. Man, it's a back and forth. I get that negative thought process going in my head and it one hundred percent of the time ends in a "Fuck it, I should just quit. I should just love my body the way it is. There's bunches of fat people out there. I'm not that fat.". I can't let that bleed into my head. I don't want to stay how I am... I want to be a healthy weight. DBAFF, man!
Fifty-nine days down.
Day 58 - Last Chance
A couple more pounds in the right direction. I've got 3 pounds to go before tomorrow - definitely not going to happen, but I'll keep trying. It's going to be close.
Today's meals:
Breakfast: Pistachios and Dt Dew
Lunch: Taco salad - same as last night - heavy veggies
Snack: White label
Dinner: Taco salad
Exercise:
Pushup Challenge - Off day
10k Steps - 7K on the phone - probably a little low
Squats - None
Vitamins & Supplements: Multi Vitamin, Super- B Complex, Vitamin C, Probiotic
More information here: http://www.dbaff.net/2017/11/vitamins-and-supplements.html
Water intake: 7-8
I didn't get a lot of items checked off in the "exercise" section, but I did actually do more than it shows. Basically from the time I got home I was working in the garage and putting Christmas lights on the house. So, lots of up and down a ladder and maneuvering on the roof. I was tired by the end of the night so I'm calling it exercise. It fits my definition of activity. Should help me get where I want.
Fifty-eight days down.
Day 57 - Moving
5.5 pounds to go. Still not back to where I was last Thursday morning. Crazy that it's taking this long to get back. The scale keeps moving in the right direction though. Even if I don't hit the goal on Friday I'm gonna get there soon. I know Saturday night is going to be a bit of a splurge as my wife and I are going to a holiday party for her work. They are catering in bbq from a local place that's pretty good. I'm doubting there will be any green items present. That means two things. One, I need to keep strict these next few days. Two, the cheat day might be good for me as it will be a bump in calories, which will hopefully keep my body off the "starvation mode" track. Number two is a theory that Timothy Ferriss covers in his book. It kinda makes sense. If nothing else, it's a little reward for eating pretty strictly for a stretch. All work and no play makes me fall off the wagon.
Today's meals:
Breakfast: Pistachios and Dt Mt Dew
Lunch: Salad, grilled chicken breast, balsamic vinaigrette
Snack: Dt Mt Dew
Dinner: Taco salad - heavy on veggies
Exercise:
Pushup Challenge - 37, again, not on the official program - but progress.
10k Steps -6K registered on the phone, probably pretty accurate.
Squats - Off day
Vitamins & Supplements: Multi Vitamin, Super- B Complex, Vitamin C, Probiotic
More information here: http://www.dbaff.net/2017/11/vitamins-and-supplements.html
Water intake: 6-7
For sure I had too much pop today. I felt kinda crappy because of it. Overall not a horrible day, just need to keep going.
Fifty-seven days down.
