Day 113 - 120 - Oops I

Did it again...   : (   

I've been so busy lately it's been hard to remember to blog about my daily activities.  I'm still in a bit of a funk.  My weight has been slowly, but steadily, going down.  It's the work related stuff that's got me stressed and in a funk.  On to the positive stuff.....

I've been really sticking to the intermittent fasting.  My routine has been to not eat any food until I get home from work around 3 pm, when I have a snack.  Most of the time that is honey roasted peanuts, a few pretzels, pickles, almonds, or a few crackers.   I then don't eat until I've made supper around 6ish.  I've done several salads lately, had Manwich made with ground turkey, canned spinach, stuffed chicken breasts, couscous, brown rice, spaghetti with homemade sauce, etc.   Most of it's pretty healthy and I've been able to keep the serving sizes reasonable.  If I'm extra hungry I try to load up on veggies.  Several people have brought in cake, chips, cookies, etc into work lately.  I've done well avoiding the cake and cookies, but have indulged in snack mix and chips for lunch a few days.  Oddly enough, those days have been followed by larger weight loss.  That might be explained by me feeling guilty and making sure I get 10-12k steps and do my squats and pushups to make up for the mini splurges.  It's possible that it's the fact that I'm switching it up and keeping my body confused.

Pop wise, I'm doing better.  I have had glasses here or there, not at work.  I've been drinking a lot of water.  Like 10+ glasses a day, easily.  So, I haven't cut it out completely, but I've got a better handle on it.  Pop has got to be the hardest thing for me to try to give up. 

I have been pretty good about my steps, squats, and have even getting those push ups in lately.  My steps over the last stretch have been:
Day 113:  12.2K
Day 114:  11.2K
Day 115:  9K
Day 116:  3.5K  ouch
Day 117:  1.5K  double ouch
Day 118:  11K
Day 119:  7.5K
Day 120:  10K

Overall it's been a stretch that I'm happy with.  I've cheated on meals here or there, obviously had a few days of subpar step production, but I'm still trending the right direction and I'm not feeling like it's a lifestyle that's not maintainable.

One hundred and twenty days down.
